P1 Response to Brief

 


I have been asked to create a music video for a song which will be premiered at the Music Video Vamp festival on the 12th/13th of February 2021. Some parts of the brief are closed meaning they are non-negotiable. The video must be for a song that does not already have a music video of its own. It also must not include content which would make it above a 12A in BBFC rating, this means it will be suitable for a wide range of age groups who may be at the festival. The video has to be the exact length of the song, it should have at least 70% original content and it has to appeal to the target audience both of the festival and the genre of the song. However, other parts of the brief are open (negotiable), for example it can be any song from any genre. The artist can be well established or a local artist. Sourced footage can be used as long as credit is given, it is copyright and royalty free and at least 70% of the video is original content. The content included can be shot from real life or animated. Lastly the style of the music video is free to decide between concept, narrative, performance or a mixture of two. The final version of the video needs to be exported as HD (1080) and 25fps so that it is suitable for the ways it will be viewed. There also needs to be two final versions exported: 1 full HD master version (high quality) and 1 compressed MP4 for YouTube. The company need to have an early version of the video by the 17th of December and the 2 final exports must be sent by the 28th January 2021.
